Jay-Z joins the ranks of Muse and Gorillaz as a headliner at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, which takes place this April 16, 17, 18 in Indio, California. Jay-Z's sharing the bill marks the first time a mainstream hip-hop artist has headlined the rock-centric 11-year-old festival.
The three-day event will feature more than 130 acts, including Thom Yorke???? (the Radiohead frontman's side project), LCD Soundsystem, MGMT, and Corinne Bailey Rae.
Jay-Z caught flak two years ago when it was announced that he would headline the largest Greenfield music and performing arts festival in the world: Glastonbury Festival 2008.
